Outdoor Screening Of 'E.T.' Postponed Until Thursday

A free outdoor screening of "E.T." scheduled as part of Newtown's Movies in the Park was postponed Wednesday due to wet conditions.

Don't worry though, the movie will instead be shown Thursday, July 14.

The movie will be screened at Linton Memorial Park beginning at 8 p.m. The park is located at the corner of Lincoln and Penn streets, across from the CVS.

The 1982 classic, rated PG, tells the heartwarming story of E.T., a gentle alien who gets stranded on Earth and befriended by a young boy named Elliott and his family. The story takes a tearjerking twist when the alien falls ill.

After "E.T." there are three more movies to be shown outdoors as part of the series. They include:

• July 20: Labyrinth (PG)
• July 27: Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (PG-13)
• Aug. 3: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (PG-13)

All films are screened at Linton Memorial Park at 8 p.m.
