Stand-Up Comedy Act Coming To Newtown Theater Thursday
Comedian Chris Smith, who has developed a comedy show to celebrate social workers, will present his act Thursday at the Newtown Theatre.
A special night of comedy is planned Thursday in Newtown.
Comedian Chris Smith, who has developed a comedy show to celebrate social workers, will present "I Need A Social Worker."
The event will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Newtown Theatre. Tickets are $20, plus a $2 service fee. A portion of the proceeds will go to Bucks For Kids, which provides financial support to children in foster care.

According to an event announcement, Smith's act will "pay homage to the work that individuals do to strengthen their community."
Tommy Highland from Comedy Central and Trenton's own Kevin "DeeKay" Francois will appear alongside Smith.

"April 14th is an opportunity to celebrate laughter while sharing in an evening of comedy with the explicit intention of bringing our respective communities together," the Eventbrite page says.
The show is for ages 18 and older.
