1 Dead After Major Crash In Norristown

NORRISTOWN, PA — One person is dead and several injured after an accident in Norristown on Sunday, according to authorities and media reports.

The incident occurred on DeKalb Street near the intersection with East Basin Street just before 11 a.m.

A vehicle was crossing from East Basin Street when it was struck by a vehicle heading down DeKalb, officials said.

6ABC reports that the vehicle that was hit held a family of three, and that the father was killed at the scene.

A woman and a child, who were also in the vehicle with the father, were hospitalized with unknown injuries, Fox 29 reports.

Police have begun an investigation into the incident.
