1 Firefighter Injured Battling Fire At Norristown Home Thursday

One firefighter was injured as crews responded to a house fire in Norristown Thursday morning.

NORRISTOWN, PA — One firefighter suffered minor injuries responding to a fire at a home in Norristown on Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 29 on the 500 block of Cherry Street, Norristown Fire Department Assistant Chief Richard Lockhart.

The fire was on the roof in the rear of the home, where roofers were working.

Crews were able to contain the damage to just one home. The blaze was out in about 20 minutes.

Crews left the scene within an hour.

Norristown was joined by companies from Norriton, Plymouth, Goodwill of Bridgeport, Swedeland, and Barren Hill at the scene. Plymouth Ambulance also responded.
