2 Dead In 3 Days After Fire, Crash In Norristown
Multiple fatalities have been confirmed after a pair of incidents in Norristown in recent days.
NORRISTOWN, PA — A second person has died following a crash in Norristown earlier this week, marking the second death from an accident in three days.
The first incident occurred on Haws Avenue on Saturday when a van caught fire.
Firefighters arrived and were able to pull the victim out of the van and provide first aid on the scene, officials said. However, that individual died at the hospital.

The second incident occurred on DeKalb and East Brown streets at around 11 a.m. Monday.
One person became trapped inside their vehicle after the crash. Crews worked to free the victim, but they later died.

"These deaths have not only been horrific for their families, but also for our firefighters," the Norristown Fire Department shared on Wednesday. "So please keep the victims’ families and our firefighters in your thoughts and prayers."
The department also encouraged first responders in Montgomery County who needed help processing traumatic incidents to make use of available resources, which can be found online here.
