2 New Giraffes Arrive At Norristown's Elmwood Park Zoo

A pair of new giraffes have arrived at the Elmwood Park Zoo.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A pair of new giraffes have arrived in Norristown. Gerald and Mokolo arrived at Elmwood Park Zoo last Thursday.

This comes just a week after the zoo said goodbye to Waylon, a giraffe that had been on loan to the zoo via the International Animal Exchange.

The two new giraffes will join Dhoruba, the remaining veteran giraffe at Elmwood.

Gerald, aged 4, came to the zoo from the Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum of Natural History in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, officials said. Mokolo, aged 1, came to the zoo from the Roosevelt Park Zoo in Minot, North Dakota.
