2 Teenagers Steal Jeep, Numerous Items In Upper Merion: Cops
A pair of vehicles, one of them stolen, fled from a local apartment building as police arrived, officials said.
UPPER MERION, PA — Two teenagers were arrested last week in Upper Merion after stealing a Jeep and numerous items from other vehicles parked at a local apartment complex, police said.
The incident occurred on Thursday, Jan. 30 at around 4 a.m. at the Park Square Apartments, located on 751 Vandenburg Road.
Police were called after multiple car alarms began sounding in the lot.

When officers arrived, two vehicles were fleeing at a high rate of speed from the apartment complex. Police were able to quickly track one of the vehicles, a Jeep Cherokee, to nearby Heuser Park, and two individuals were arrested. Inside the Cherokee were numerous stolen items, according to authorities.
The two teens were from Wilmington, Delaware and were 18 and 19 years old, police said. They were also linked to multiple other thefts throughout Upper Merion.

Their names were not released.
Investigators said they later found the second vehicle that had fled the apartments, a Jeep Wrangler that had been stolen. It was recovered nearby in Stenwyck Circle.
After ditching the Wrangler, it's believed the thieves stole another vehicle, a Honda Pilot, to escape the area.
Additional suspects are being sought. The teens were both charged with vehicle theft and related counts and booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility. Preliminary hearings are forthcoming.
