20 Displaced After Fire In Norristown
A devastating blaze left numerous Norristown residents without a home.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A heavy fire burned through rowhomes in Norristown on Friday night, leaving some 20 people without a home, officials said.
The incident occurred on the 1300 block of W. Main Street.
Crews encountered flames ungulfing two rowhomes when they arrived.

Fireifghters made a "quick and aggressive attack" that was able to knock down most of the fire within five minutes, officials said.
Residents were safely evacuated and no one was injured, but many were left without shelter. The Red Cross is working to care for victims and to find them temporary housing.

Crews from several nearby municipalities assisted on the scene.
The cause of the fire has not yet been announced by officials. An investigation is underway.
