20-Year-Old Found Shot Dead In Norristown: DA

NORRISTOWN, PA — A 20-year-old man was found shot dead in Norristown on Friday, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.

Circumstances leading up to the shooting of Tahaj Andru Harrison, a Norristown resident, remain unclear.

Several gunshots were reported fired on the 600 block of Corson Street at around 9:45 p.m.

Harrison was found dead by first responders in his backyard, a few houses away from where the shooting was reported.

The shooting was one of many violent incidents in the region over the holiday weekend.

In Philadelphia, multiple people were shot leaving Fairmount Park on Monday night.

Two people are dead and nine were hurt in a mass shooting that erupted just before 10:30 p.m. Monday, police said. Nine of the 11 people shot were adults, and the others were juveniles, ages 15, 16, and 17, according to authorities.

Two adults were fatally shot. Multiple news outlets identified the two people killed as Amya Devlin, 23, and Mikhail Bowers, 21.

Fox 29 reports the other victims were 16 to 28 years old. Police said the victims were packing up their items for the day when they were shot. Investigators found multiple spent shell casings at the scene of the shooting.

Authorities have not made any arrests or found any weapons used in the shooting. A press conference on the incident is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
