21 Montgomery County Nursing Homes Among Nation's Best: U.S. News

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — U.S. News & World Report has released its latest ratings identifying top nursing homes, and 21 in Montgomery County made the list with at least a "better than average" or "high performing" rating in one of the two main categories. In the 2018-19 ratings, U.S. News evaluated 695 nursing homes in Pennsylvania and thousands across the country.

Eleven local facilities were named by the publication as "best nursing homes." The homes are given an overall rating as well as a short-stay rehabilitation rating, a new addition to the ratings that are now in their ninth year.

U.S. News explains that the new rehab rating is aimed at providing patients "with a clearer view of the quality of care provided by nursing homes to short-stay patients" who need rehabilitation or nursing services after suffering from an accident or illness.

The Best Nursing Home ratings are designed to help potential residents and their families navigate this important decision.”
