210 Inmates Are Now Quarantined At Montco Correctional Facility
Additionally, three more Montgomery County Correctional Facility inmates have shown symptoms, and are now awaiting test results.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Montgomery County Correctional Facility has now put a total of 210 inmates into quarantine in order to control the spread of coronavirus, officials announced on Wednesday.
Additionally, three new inmates have shown symptoms, and are now awaiting test results. It will take between three and six days for test results to return. The tests were done on Tuesday.

Two inmates had already tested positive on April 10, as well as three correctional officers back on March 30.
All of the inmates that tested positive and who are experiencing symptoms are in stable condition, officials said.

The cell mates of these five individuals are all in quarantine and are not showing symptoms.
As of April 10, 155 inmates were in isolation, meaning the facility has increased the number in quarantine by 55 in the past five days.
Officials touted that they have decreased the facility's population significantly, from 1,342 down to 1,060. They've also reduced their daily intake of new inmates to 5 or 6 a day, down from a pre-outbreak average of 28.
All told, Montgomery County has seen 120 deaths and 2,199 cases of coronavirus as of Wednesday afternoon.
