25 Montco Inmates Have Reportedly Died in Custody Since 2007

A total of 25 inmates have reportedly died in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility since 2007, leading to multiple lawsuits.

The as of yet unexplained death of David Kennedy, the pediatrician charged with child pornography who died in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, is the 25th in the last 10 years, according to a new report.

The report, released by NBC10, recounts documents from a right-to-know request. Multiple lawsuits connected to those deaths have resulted in $462,500 in settlements, the documents show.

While authorities would not say which deaths led to the lawsuits, the report states that the passing of 25-year-old Patricia Pollock led to a $325,000 lawsuit. Pollock, who was charged for theft and a DUI, was not given treatment for four days for symptoms that ultimately turned out to be a severe inflammation of her heart.
