3 NYC Men Captured After Stealing $5,000 In Merchandise From KOP Mall: Police

The men took a "large amount of items" from the Sephora store before fleeing, authorities said.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — A man who fled to New York City after stealing some $5,000 in merchandise from the King of Prussia Mall with two other suspects has been captured, police said.

The incident occurred on Sunday, Sept. 29 at around 1:05 p.m. at the Sephora store.

Three men entered the beauty and fragrance store with a "large amount of items," according to Upper Merion police.

Officers were able to find the suspects on the lower level of Nordstrom. One immediately surrendered, police said, while the other two fled. One of the other two was tasered and captured, while the third escaped and fled north.

All three are from New York City, though their identities have not been released by police.

They have been booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail. Preliminary hearings are forthcoming.
