The Fort Washington area was dead center in the line of an EF-2 tornado that touched down in the county Wednesday night. That tornado's wind gusts of up to 130 miles per hour moved from Upper Dublin up through Horsham, leaving massive destruction in its wake.

Both Skippack and Bridgeport are within the heavily flooded areas of the Perkiomen and Skippack creeks, and Schuylkill River, respectively. The Perkiomen and Schuylkill flooded to all-time historic heights this week after the remnants of Hurricane Ida had passed through.
