4 Montco HS Girls Make History As Football Players

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — F0ur Montgomery County high school girls are making history.

Wissahickon junior Casey Burden, a wide receiver and safety on the Wissahickon girls flag football team, along with North Penn's Natalie Gordon, Lansdale Catholic's Stefania DiPalma, and Gwynedd Mercy's Krista Quinn, will be officially honored by the Maxwell Football Club at their upcoming regional awards event on Feb. 4.

The group will receive the Mini Max Award. They'll be among a group of girls who are the first females players ever recognized by the 87-year-old club.

Maxwell honors football players at every level of competition, ranging from high school and college all the way up to the pros. The Mini Max awards specifically recognize flag football excellence.

All winners from the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware region included below:
