AP Projects Winner Of Madeleine Dean-Aurora Stuski U.S. Congress Race
Votes are now being counted in the 4th Congressional District race between US Rep. Madeleine Dean and Aurora Stuski.

U.S. Rep. Madeleine Dean has been re-elected to Congress, the Associated Press projects, as the incumbent has secured enough early mail-in support to earn unofficial victory.
Dean, who was heavily favored to win the blue-dominant seat that covers most of Montgomery County, has a nearly 47,000 vote lead.
The results stand at 57,305 to 10,999, still all off of mail-in ballots.

Original story
Results for elections to US Congressional, including the 4th district covering much of Montgomery County, are beginning to come in Tuesday night.
U.S. Rep. Madeleine Dean is seeking re-election, challenged by Aurora Stuski, a local business owner.
Live results will be posted here as they come in to the Montgomery County Board of Elections.
Check back to Patch throughout the evening for the latest updated totals.
This will be Dean's fifth election since she first earned the seat back in the 2018 midterms, the first election following redistricting and the same year fellow suburban Philly Congresswomen Mary Gay Scanlon and Chrissy Houlahan were put in office.
The 4th district covers nearly all of Montgomery County and a small sliver of Berks County.
Stuski owns a jewelry business and has spoken on her relationship with law enforcement as an appraiser, her support for first responders, the second amendment, free speech, family involvement in key community decisions, and stopping "communism."
"Being a small business owner has taught me a lot about responsibility," Stuski said at a recent 'Candidates Night' held by the Berks County Patriots. "Success doesn't come from making promises you can't keep...the massive waste of our hard earned dollars to fraudsters need to stop."
Stuski is active in Montgomery County's Republican Committee leadership, and has previously run for both county commissioner and West Norristown supervisor.
While the Cook Political Report labels the 4th as "solid D," any ground picked up by Stuski over Republican candidates in recent election cycles would be seen as a win by most outside analysts.
Dean has won about 60 percent of the vote in all four previous elections: 269,066 to 186,457 in 2024 (59 percent), 224,799 to 141,986 in 2022 (61 percent), 264,637 to 179,926 in 2020 (59 percent), and 211,524 to 121,467 in 2018 (63 percent).
Dean, a native of Glenside and former Pennsylvania state representative, has become a national figure in recent years, earning major appointments to both the Appropriations and Foreign Affairs committees in Congress.
Dean was also named the impeachment manager of the Bipartisan Task Force in charge of investigating former President Trump, following the Jan. 6 insurrection in 2021.
While Dean may be heavily favorited, the scope of her victory as compared to previous years, and vote tallies next to a governor that is facing increasing turmoil from within his party, could be of significant electoral interest. Pennsylvania remains one of the nation's key swing states, and there are plenty of votes up for grabs in Montgomery County, the state's third most populous county.
