After Recount, Montgomery Co. Sets Date To Certify Election Results
With undated mail-in ballots now tallied, the county can move forward with certification.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Montgomery County has completed its recount of undated or incorrectly dated mail-in ballots from the 2023 election, and officials will meet to finally certify the results on Monday, Dec. 4.
The recount of 349 votes took place over the past several days in the wake of a federal court case that mandated that undated mail-in ballots must be included in final tallies. Results were formally completed on Monday, but election code mandates a five day waiting period before they are certified.
