UPPER MERION, PA — A long-lingering issue related sinkholes and pavement instability on Route 202 in Upper Merion Township appears to be resolved.
All lanes are now open on the highway, where it runs as Dekalb Pike, after weeks of lane restrictions and closures in both directions and multiple sinkholes.
The cause of the sinkholes remains unclear.

Issues were first reported in late June, and the highway was shut down and reopened multiple times over the ensuing weeks. The closures and lane restrictions impacted the area near Tires Plus on 139 East Dekalb Pike.
