Alleged shooting on Lafayette and Stanbridge Streets

We all hear rumors about the crime in Norristown on a continuous basis and its nice to generally be able to turn to the Norristown Patch for confirmation or dismiss what is being spread around town. However, lately the Patch seems to be the last to know or the last to report. I reside near Nobel and Main Streets and last night (April 12th) approximately 10 PM, we heard what could be described as nothing else but gun shots! Yet, no information can be found. I understand the police cannot go into detail, but someone should be able to let us know they are at least aware of this and have a plan of action. We further heard there was a car and home on fire at the same location of the shots. Are they related? Should we be on our guard or has a suspect been identified? So many questions, so little information..
