NORRISTOWN, PA — New information has emerged in a 2011 cold case murder of a 29-year-old mother in Norristown, sparking authorities to put out renewed calls for tips to the public.
The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office has posted a $2,500 reward for information on the murder of Jessica Manzanero.
The young mother was found dead in her Norristown apartment on May 4, 2011 at around 9 p.m., on 535 E. Moore Street.
Landlords discovered her body lying face down on the floor of the living room, surrounded by dried blood.
The coroner's office determined she had died from multiple stab wounds, and estimated that the killing had taken place on May 2.
No arrests were ever made in the killing, and no information on potential suspects ever became public.
"Montgomery County Detectives never give up on an unsolved murder, and recently, new information about this murder has been discovered by detectives," DA Kevin Steele said in a statement. “We are looking for additional information from the public regarding the murder of this young mother of two children. No detail is too insignificant to share with our detectives."
Officials said they did not want to reveal exactly what the new information was that had brought renewed attention to the case.
