KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — King of Prussia has officially cut the ribbon on Recharge Park, the area's newest public space featuring covered outdoor workstations, local art, repurposed wind turbines, and more.

The 1.1 acre lot of land sits on 680 Freedom Business Center Drive between Topgolf and Valley Forge Casino. It marks a transformation of what was intended as a parking lot into a creative green space.

Solar power lighting, a Zen garden, an open lawn for yoga and movies, a space for food trucks, and natural landscapes including native grasses and perennials are also featured.

"With gathering spaces, games, public art, and room to relax and recharge, this new park transforms an underutilized space into a destination for the entire community," Commissioner Jamila Winder said following the recent opening.

The park's "recharging" theme is a tribute to the substation that previously existed on the site.

Upper Merion Township, Brandywine Realty Trust, and American Baptist Churches USA partnered on the project, which was supported by a Montco 2040 grant and King of Prussia District funding.
