New Jersey Senator and high profile Democratic leader Cory Booker visited Montgomery County Sunday night for a campaign event.
Booker is facing off against Republican Justin Murphy, the former mayor of Tabernacle, New Jersey, in his re-election bid this fall.
The event was attended by Montgomery County Commissioner Jamila Winder at the home of local Democratic activists.
"Senator Booker, thank you for your leadership in Washington and for championing the interests of ordinary Americans," Winder shared.
Details on the small event were not immediately available.
Booker, who ran for president in 2020, has seen his name has pop up in speculations for the 2028 Democratic candidacy. He's said on numerous occasions that he's not ruling it out, but that he's focused on the Senate campaign for now.
