Tech Company Expands To KOP With 'AI Native' Workforce

The company says the new focus of the 24,000 square foot HQ will "deliver more connected experiences for advisors and investors."

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — A major tech company is moving into a large new office space in King of Prussia as part of its transition to an "AI native" workforce.

Orion, which builds software for financial advisors, has shut down its Berwyn office and opened a new 24,000 square foot space near the King of Prussia Town Center, on 1000 Continental Drive.

More than 100 human employees are working in the office, which is 20 percent larger than the old space, the company said.

“AI is reshaping our industry, not just making work faster but transforming how it gets done," Orion CEO Natalie Wolfsen said in a statement. "At Orion, we’re building a digital, AI-native workforce to deliver more connected experiences for advisors and investors. At the same time, we’re investing in hubs like King of Prussia, because the best technology only wins when exceptional people collaborate together to do their best work."

The jargon "AI native" is used by companies who say they are using artificial intelligence at every level and part of their company's workflow.

The news comes as Montgomery County's economy has already begun to face the consequences of AI, with a nearby King of Prussia company recently laying off 170 employees due to the technology.
