NORRISTOWN, PA — Upcoming road reconstruction on Germantown Pike reduce travel to a single lane in each direction for months, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Thursday.
Road work will begin on Tuesday, June 23 and continue through Oct. 1.
The impacted stretch of Germantown Pike covers parts of Norristown, East Norriton, and Whitpain between Mill Road and Hannah Avenue.
It's part of the larger $55 million project to reconstruct 1.8 miles of the highway in the area.
Lane closures will be in place 24/7.
It will come just days after Township Line Road was reopened between Swede Road and U.S. 202 following the completion of construction on a key intersection.
Delays should be expected around the area.
