UPPER MERION, PA — Route 23 will be restricted for months starting in July, impacting traffic around the area.
The lane closure will be in place between Beidler Road and Mancill Mill Road in Upper Merion starting on July 7.
PennDOT said the restriction will continue until Wednesday, Sept. 30.
Crews will be applying a "high friction surface treatment," a specific resin binder that helps minimize crashes in high-risk areas.
Specifically, the treatment is used to keep sharp curves and intersection approaches safer during wet weather.
Drivers should plan for delays in the area.
