The zoo is one of just 13 institutions nationwide to receive this Quarter Century Award, underscoring its standing as a high-quality regional attraction for local families and visitors.
5. Montgomery County Commissioners report 2027 budget could be challenging (wfmz.com) — Montgomery County leaders, whose government is based in Norristown, say the 2027 county budget will be difficult as revenues are expected to fall while expenses rise. At an off-site meeting in New Hanover, officials highlighted cost-containment efforts, major capital projects like the Justice Center, and new principles for using artificial intelligence, with public budget hearings planned later this year.
