UPPER MERION, PA — A water main broke in Upper Merion Township Friday morning, leading to road closures and loss of water service in the area.
It occurred on West 4th Street near Route 23 just before 10:30 a.m.
Residents on Lower East Valley Forge Road and Myers Road should expect service interruptions.
Repairs are now underway, though township officials said there is no timeline for completion of the work or restoration of services.
"We appreciate the public's patience and understanding while crews work to restore service as quickly and safely as possible," the township added in a statement.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
