NORRISTOWN, PA — One of the region's favorite holiday festivals and celebrations returns later this month with the debut of Wild Lights at Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown.
The annual celebration features millions of lights strung up throughout the zoo's expansive property, which is transformed into a holiday wonderland featuring live music and entertainment, a Santa workshop, Christmas cows, and more.
"Wild Lights has become such a special holiday tradition for families throughout our region, and we want guests to know that there's so much more to experience than just the lights," said Al Zone, CEO of Elmwood Park Zoo. "Our goal is to create a place where families can experience all their favorite holiday traditions, while making some new memories along the way."
The event will begin on Nov. 20 and continue through Dec. 30.
The event will feature unique evening encounters with animals, family-friendly activities in Santa's workshop, festive food and drinks, miniature Highland cows dressed for the holidays, various wandering Christmas characters and performances, dedicated times for dogs on Sunday nights, and more.
Wild Lights is only open on select nights, and will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
