
WEST NORRITON, PA — Police in West Norriton are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspected armed robber.
The incident occurred on Monday, Dec. 18 at around 10:45 a.m. at the Walmart on Trooper Road.
The suspect grabbed an HP Pavilion computer and two wireless speakers, tossed them in his shopping cart, and made a call on his cell phone, police said.

As he was speaking, he pushed his cart to a fire exit, according to police. A Walmart employee came up to the man and grabbed the shopping cart, telling him that he had to check out in the electronics section.
The suspect then pulled out a silver and black pistol from his hip and pointed it at the employee, police said. The man pushed his way through the fire door with the cart and ran to a waiting car in the parking lot.

The vehicle, a gray Chevrolet, fled southbound on Trooper Road toward 422, according to authorities.
A Walmart employee told police he believes the same suspect robbed another area Walmart recently as well.
The suspect was described as a clean-shaven, dark-skinned man, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, wearing a black Phillies hat.
