Beware of double or triple billing!

On Saturday September 28, 2013 I was double billed almost $165 on my debit card at the Weis on Valley Forge and Sumneytown Pike. They did not call me to tell me, I called them. The woman had knowledge that this had been happening, although they were not calling customers to let them know. Double or triple billing peoples accounts could make other checks bounce and reek havoc. Not to mention a lot of people don't check their statements carefully. I was told it would be taken care of in the next couple days. I was also told I would get a call. My husband went over and talked to a manager who agreed that it was a swiping error, and under their policy mis-swipes are free. My husband was also told we would get a phone call. I checked my account a couple days later, and still no refund. I called the store again, and was told it wasn't their fault an outside company handles it. And again it would be done by Friday and someone would call me. Yea, right. Today is Monday October 8. I have yet to receive a call, a refund, they did however give my husband a $10 gift card when he went in today to ask. 10 bucks! Wow. We did email their corporate office, and received a prompt email back. It has an attachment, it doesn't open. So if you shop at Weis and use a debit or credit card check your statements. If you don't find it, you will not be contacted by Weis.
