Bill Cosby Grinning In Latest Mugshot From Prison In Montco
The updated mugshot comes as Cosby's appeal of his sexual assault conviction is waiting to be heard before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Bill Cosby appears to be grinning in the latest mugshot released by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.
Cosby, 83, is in the midst of a three to 10 year sentence for aggravated indecent assault at Montgomery County's SCI Phoenix. The new mugshot is the first public look at him since he was booked in Sept. 2018.

Cosby's attorneys have frequently cited his health, including his failing eyesight, as a reason to keep him out prison. Following the outbreak of the pandemic, his attorneys made a renewed but ultimately unsuccessful push to use coronavirus as a reason to have him released.
The mugshot caused a stir across social media networks Tuesday. It comes as Cosby and his legal team await the start of a Pennsylvania Supreme Court hearing over his latest appeal.

The court agreed in September to review Cosby’s conviction. His attorneys want two aspects of his case reviewed: the “immunity deal” he reached with a former Montgomery County district attorney, and the use of the testimony of other accusers in his trial.
Periodically updated mugshots are common practice in the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections for inmates who have been incarcerated for any length of time and may have undergone a change in appearance.
