Convicted sexual offender Bill Cosby is continuing to try to find ways to escape jail time.

The former comedian, 81, has requested bail pending the results of his latest appeal, which he says has been delayed because his judge has not issued an opinion that explains the sentence Cosby received.

In a missive posted on Instagram Wednesday, Cosby pointed to "racial hatred" as the underlying reason he remained behind bars and had not received his latest appeal hearing. He specifically targeted Judge Steven T. O'Neill.

"We’re asking that this scandalous judge be removed immediately, and Mr. Cosby be granted bail throughout the appeals process, because the judge’s racial hatred towards Mr. Cosby, clouds his better judgement to be a good steward of the bench," the statement issued Wednesday reads. It was released alongside a photo of Cosby closing his eyes and raising his fist.

The latest statement comes following reports this week that Cosby was paying his lawyers $1 million a month in an attempt to get him out jail.

He's currently serving out a three to ten year sentence at Montgomery County's SCI Phoenix. He reported to prison in Sept. 2018 after being convicted the previous April of drugging and molesting a woman inside his Cheltenham home. At least 60 women have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct over the years, but the Montgomery County case was the first to be prosecuted in criminal court.

Cosby's constantly shifting and expanding legal team has tried countless tactics through the years first to get the case dismissed, and now to get Cosby out from behind bars. It's not the first time Cosby has resorted to characterizing his incaceration as a racial matter, either. Back in February, a similar statement claimed he was jailed for "Trying to humanize all races" through his comedic work.

"He's (O'Neill) an accessory to the incestuous behavior that resides in Montgomery County," the statement goes on. "His dishonorable conduct makes me smile, because this judge is being exposed, and it shows that this is bigger than me...O’Neill now has his formula: tried, true and tested to destroy Any Black Man and/or Colored Man In America.

Experts tell the New York Times that it is typical for a judge to take this amount of time to issue a formal opinion backing up his ruling in a high profile case like Cosby's sentencing.
