Strange White Object Seen In Eastern PA Sky: Here's What It Was
It's a bird. It's a plane. It's a...Google balloon??

PENNSYLVANIA — Reports have trickled in from around southeastern Pennsylvania over the past week of a bizarre object in the skies, something white and almost tentacled floating through the air like a jellyfish.
It seems now, however, that there is an answer: NBC10 reports that the sightings have likely been traced back to a high-flying experimental balloon developed by Google.
Google Loon is a project aimed at using a network of balloons launched to the very edge of the atmosphere in order to transmit WiFi signals to remote and underserved areas.

Skywatchers around Pennsylvania spotted the object, some 60,000 feet above the ground. They weren't exactly sure what it was.

When multiple people realized they had captured video or photos of the same thing, they began to put it together.
Loon has "dozens" of balloons flying around at the edge of outer space every day.
Officials report that the project has been successful thus far, specifically pointing to the usefulness of the balloons in bringing Internet connectivity to Peru after an 8.0 earthquake struck earlier this year.
