Blind And Deaf Woman Sexually Assaulted In Norristown, Lansdale: DA
The man's girlfriend was the nurse in charge of the woman's 24-hour care, police said.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A blind, deaf, and mute 70-year-old woman was sexually assaulted on multiple occassions throughout Montgomery County, authorities said in announcing charges on Tuesday.
Malquan Craig, 23, of Lancaster, faces numerous charges in connection with the incidents, which police said. occurred in Norristown, Lansdale, and West Norriton on 2020 and 2021.
The victim was under 24-hour care through H.A.P., and Craig's girlfriend was one of the victim's nurses, police said.

Craig recorded videos of the incidents, which occurred when he and his girlfriend took the victim out to pick up takeout food, according to authorities. While his girlfriend was in the restaurant, Craig would fondle the victim's breasts, touch her vagina, and expose his buttocks to her, authorities said.
Charges on Craig include indecent assault of a mentally disabled victim, indecent assault, and invasion of privacy. An additional charge of felony aggravated indecent assault is expected to be added at the coming preliminary hearing, the District Attorney's Office said.

Bail was set at $500,000 and Craig was booked at Lancaster County prison. The hearing is set for Sept. 12.
