Body Of Homicide Victim Found Near Schuylkill River Trail: DA

A bicyclist found the body of the man who had been shot multiple times, authorities said.

WEST NORRITON, PA — The body of a man who was shot multiple times and killed was found near the Schuylkill River Trail in West Norriton Township on Friday morning, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced on Monday.

Daquan Tucker, 25, of Audubon, died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to Dr. Khalil Wardak, a forensic pathologist with the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

Tucker's body was found about 100 feet down a steep embankment between the trail and the Schuylkill River, near the border of West Norriton and Norristown.

Circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and authorities did not say if the incident occurred at the site where Tucker was found, or if his body was dumped there.

The District Attorney's Office said that "indications are" Tucker knew his attacker, and his killing was not a random act.

The cyclist found Tucker's body at about 9 a.m. Friday, police said.

No suspects have been publicly identified, nor have any arrests been announced.
