Boil Water Advisory Issued For Norristown, Plymouth
A water main break has caused conditions that could allow contamination of drinking water, officials warned.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A boil water advisory was issued for parts of Norristown and Plymouth on Monday morning after a water main break potentially contaminated the drinking water supply.
Around 837 customers are impacted, Pennsylvania American Water said. The boil water advisory includes the area between New Hope Street and Sandy Hill Road below the 1912 club, as well as the areas on either side of Fairfield Road, including the Point at Plymouth Meeting. Until further notice, water should be boiled for a minimum of one minute before drinking it or using it to prepare food.

Water tankers providing drinking water will be available at Curren Terrace Apartments at 1101 New Hope Street, and at East Roberts Street and Calamia Drive in Norristown. Residents should bring their own containers to fill.
Crews are on the scene of the main break and working to resolve the problem, but their is no estimate for when the advisory will be lifted.
