BRIDGEPORT, PA — Authorities said that the Bridgeport man who stabbed his ex-lover to death researched knife murders online before the act, a report states.
Bruce Puia, 51, of Bridgeport, allegedly stabbed Donna Marie Donato, 62, multiple times on the DeKalb Street Bridge in broad daylight back in January, authorities allege.
Prosecutors brought up his search history and presented it during his pretrial this week. They want the evidence to be admissible in the trial.

The Times Herald reports that prosecutors argued Puia had meticulously planned the attack, citing frequent searches related to killing with a knife and killing with a hammer.
Both a knife and a hammer were found in Puia's backpack when he was arrested.

When police arrived, they found Puia with blood on his hands. Donato, meanwhile, was already dead, authorities said.
Puia told police that he and Donato had previously dated.
