Breaking: 19 people were reportedly hospitalized after a bus crashed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Valley Forge Saturday.

VALLEY FORGE, PA — At least 19 people were reportedly hospitalized after a bus crashed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Valley Forge Saturday.

The incident occurred at around 9:31 a.m. on the ramp on I-76 westbound, according to Montgomery County Active Incidents.

Fox29 reports that at least 19 people were taken to nearby Paoli Hospital for various injuries. The severity of those injuries is not yet clear.

The accident shut down the ramp for a time on Saturday morning as it had spun to block the lane. The accident was cleared by about noon and the ramp reopened, according to turnpike officials.

Emergency crews from around the area responded to the scene.

A light rain was falling at the time of the accident and the roads were wet. There's no official word yet on what led to the accident.
