Car Crashes Into Upper Merion Dam, Driver Rescued

UPPER MERION, PA — One driver was rescued from the water on Tuesday afternoon after crashing their vehicle into a local dam.

The incident occurred sometime after 4 p.m. on Croton Road near South Warner Road, police said.

6ABC reports that the driver lost control, but it's yet clear what caused the accident. The car wound up in Martin's Dam.

The driver was safely extracted and no injuries were reported.

The intersection of Croton Road and South Warner Road, along with nearby stretches, was shut down to traffic as authorities responded to the scene.
