Carjackers Who Beat Woman Are Captured In King Of Prussia: Police

Authorities arrested two men who they said broke the woman's jaw when they attacked her.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Two men who police said attacked a woman while she was stopped in her car in Delaware County, stole her vehicle, and then crashed it in Upper Merion Township have been captured.

The carjacking occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Aug. 1 in Delaware County. Two men forced the woman of her car and beat her, breaking her jaw, police said.

They then stole her vehicle and fled toward Upper Merion, where a patrol officer saw them run a red light at Route 202 and N. Gulph Road, according to authorities.

The officer tried to pull the vehicle over, but it fled down Allendale Road and lost the officer. Police later found the car abandoned and empty in Wegman's parking lot at the Village at Valley Forge.

Police said they were able to track the woman's stolen credit card, which the men used at a gas station in King of Prussia. They identified the suspects and their getaway car, and police were able to swiftly apprehend the suspects nearby at the Valley Forge Suites apartments.

Both men were extradited to Delaware County for their arraignment and preliminary hearings.
