'Clear the Shelters' Event Saturday In Conshohocken

Here's your chance: adoption fees will be waived at shelters across the country Saturday, including in Conshohocken.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — The Montgomery County SPCA in Conshohocken is one of several locations in the area that will participate in a "Clear the Shelters" event this weekend.

As part of the special event, adoption fees will be waived at participating shelters around the nation.

Nearly 20,000 pets found their forever homes in 2015, when around 400 animal shelters participated in the NBC-sponsored event.

The following shelters are participating in the region:

  • Brandywine Valley SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester
  • Pals Pets, Lancaster Avenue, Ardmore
  • Montgomery County SPCA - Conshohocken, 19 East Ridge Pike, Conshohocken
  • Montgomery County SPCA - 1006 Edge Hill Rd, Abington
  • Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals, 328 Upper Gulph Road, Radnor
  • PALS Pets -Chesco Cat Rescue, 127 West Lancaster Avenue, Wayne
