NORRISTOWN, PA — For the second time in less than a week Montgomery County officials have declared a "code blue" cold weather winter emergency, helping the region gather resources to protect vulnerable residents exposed to the elements.
The declaration is in place from 8 p.m. Monday night to 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will hit the low 20s in much of the county overnight, and will feel even lower with the wind chill.

- Winterize your car with antifreeze, a full tank of gas, an emergency kit, and inflated tires
- Make sure smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are functioning
- Limit the time pets spend outdoors
- Report power the utility company, do not call 911
