Code Blue Extended Several Days In Montgomery County

Freezing rain and snow are on the way. Just how cold will it get?

NORRISTOWN, PA — Frigid temperatures and snowfall are on their way to Montgomery County and the surrounding region, leading to an extension of the Code Blue cold weather declaration that was already in place.

The emergency declaration has been extended through Saturday, Feb. 2 at 9 a.m. It was originally set to epire on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.

Lows of 17, 2, and 8 degrees are currently predicted for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. Rain and snow are likely to hit the region in some capacity (anywhere from one to six inches) on Tuesday.

Single individuals can go to the Coordinated Homeless Outreach Center, which is located at Building 9 at Norristown State Hospital. Their phone number is 610-292-9244.
