Code Blue Issued In Montco As Sudden Cold Front Sweeps In
After days of warm and rainy weather, a change is coming to the local region.
NORRISTOWN, PA — After several days of rainy weather, Montgomery County is bracing for what officials are saying will be dangerous cold.
A Code Blue cold weather emergency has been declared from 10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3 at 10 a.m. The temperatures are dipping down throughout the region and in the next few days, are expected to drop down below the county's new 32 degrees Fahrenheit threshold for Code Blue.
Officials call a Code Blue "when winter conditions pose a threat of serious harm or death to individuals without shelter," allowing additional resources to be marshaled.
