Code Red Heat Warning Remains In Effect Wednesday In Montco
It's still going to be dangerously hot on Wednesday across Montgomery County.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- It's still going to be dangerously hot on Wednesday across Montgomery County.
A Code Red Hot Weather warning was issued by the county, effective at noon on Tuesday and continuing through 8 p.m. Wednesday night. The National Weather Service has also issued an Excessive Heat Warning covering the same period of time.
Temperatures are again expected to rise into the upper-90s, possibly threatening the region's all time heat records for Aug. 29.

Very young children, the elderly, and those with chronic medical conditions are especially at risk. Officials urge residents to check on their friends and neighbors if they believe they may be at risk.
County officials offer the following tips to residents to help beat the heat:

- Drink plenty of non-alcoholic, non-caffeinated fluids.
- Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
- If at all possible, try to get outdoor work completed during the morning to avoid the warmest part of the
- day.
- Keep windows and interior doors open when running a fan at home.
- Keep cool by seeking an air-conditioned building if available, if not, seek rest in the shade.
- Most of the Senior Adult Activity Centers (SAACs) are air-conditioned, as are malls and libraries.
Things are expected to cool down into the 80s on Thursday into Friday.
