Conshohocken Brewing Company Releases Beer in Honor of Flyers Defenseman
The Conshohocken Brewing Company's "Ghost Bear" will honor Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere.

It's been quite the compelling season for the Philadelphia Flyers: they won 10 games in a row, earned (for a time) one of the best records in the NHL, and have seen breakout seasons from players like Wayne Simmonds. Now they have a beer named named after one of their own players.
But it's not one of the orange and black's high-paid superstars. Rather, the Conshohocken Brewing Company has chosen to enshrine fan favorite, second-year defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere, on the cans of their latest concoction.
The new beer, called "Ghost Bear" after Gostisbehere's nickname, is described as an "American Blonde Ale" and has an ABV of 4.80 percent.

Gostisbehere, 23, burst onto the NHL scene during the 2015-2016 season and had an impressive rookie campaign.
The beer was unveiled earlier this month and quickly sold out. Additional cans, which are orange and black and feature a white bear on the front, will be officially unveiled on New Years Eve, Saturday, December 31, at 11 a.m. at their taproom. Cans are on sale for $11 for a four pack and $60 for a case.

The Flyers, at 20-13-4, sit in 5th place in the Metropolitan Division, which is by far the most competitive division in the NHL. They remain in line for a playoff spot as of December 29.
