Conshohocken Business Launches Solar Energy Project
A Conshohocken business has received a grant to get most of its energy from solar power.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — A Conshohocken business has received a grant to get most of its energy from solar power.
CubeSmart TRS, located on 401 Alan Wood Road, received a $92,318 grant through the state's Solar Energy Program, State Rep. Mary Jo Daley (D-Montgomery) announced Friday.
“I’m happy to see a forward-thinking local business pursuing solar energy,” Daley said.“We should be encouraging more businesses and organizations to work on becoming energy efficient, and I’m pleased to see the state encouraging innovation with these grants.”

The project, which costs about $250,000, will provide the business with about 90 percent of the energy it needs to operate. It will generate 125,772 kilowatt hours of electricity a year, Daley said.
The Solar Energy Program provides similar grants and loans to businesses seeking to become more sustainable across Pennsylvania.
