Cops Issue Warrant For Suspect In Norristown Hit And Run

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a suspect in the Norristown hit and run that severely injured one person last week.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a suspect in the Norristown hit and run that severely injured one person last week.

The suspect is a female, police said, although her name was not released.

The incident occurred on Feb. 22 at around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Markley Street and Harding Boulevard, police said.

The victim, a 43-year-old man, was taken from the scene by the JeffStat helicopter to a hospital in Philadelphia.

The suspect fled the scene, but eyewitnesses were able to remember the license plate before she drove away, leading to her identification, police said.

The man remained in critical condition at the hospital Tuesday, but is stable.
