Dead Fish Mysteriously Wash Up In Norristown Backyards

The fish are causing a "horrible smell," according to residents.

Residents of North Hills Drive in Norristown claim that dead fish are washing up in Sawmill Run behind their homes, causing a “horrible smell.”

Locals reportedly spoke to the Department of Environmental Protection, which stated that the American Water Company had replaced a main in the neighborhood and that chlorine tablets caused the widespread death of the fish.

It is not known exactly when the dead fish began washing up, but residents noticed the potent stench at some point on Monday.
