DeSean Jackson Traded Back To Eagles: Report

The Eagles have traded for All-Pro DeSean Jackson, who spent the first six years of his career in Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Former Eagles star and All-Pro receiver and kick returner DeSean Jackson is returning to Philadelphia via a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to multiple reports. Heading back to Tampa will be a 2019 6th round pick, and a 2020 7th round pick, reports state.

Jackson, 32, spent the first six years of his career with the Eagles after being drafted by Philadelphia in the second round of the 2008 draft.

The news was first reported by NFL Network's Mike Garafolo late Monday afternoon, with details on the return to Tampa confirmed by NBC's Derrick Gunn.

Jackson was let go by Chip Kelly prior to the 2014 season, whereupon the division rival Washington Redskins scooped him up for a few seasons. He's been with Tampa Bay since 2017.

Reports over the last few days have made it evident that the veteran wished to return to the Eagles.
